Apsida

What’s new

What changed in Apsida.

  1. Mobile app

Apsida on iPhone and Android: notifications, native calls, sign-in that stays open.

  2. Design: GPU rendering

The canvas is drawn by Skia on the graphics card (WebGL), like in Figma: blurs, shadows, gradients and text are computed on the GPU, and the interface stays free while you scroll or zoom.

  3. Design: parallel rendering

The canvas is drawn on a separate thread: scrolling, zooming or dragging never blocks the interface, even on heavy files. Drive viewer fixed when moving between files.

  4. Design: icons and smoothness

A library of over 1,500 Font Awesome icons in the Assets tab. Smooth zooming, scrolling and dragging of large frames, even with blurs: what moves is shifted as a single image, like in Figma.

  5. Design: accurate blurs and icons

Background and layer blurs render like in Figma, with no sharp patches or tile edges. Icons pasted from Figma keep their exact shape, and moving a layer only redraws the area it touches.

  6. Docs: tables, formulas and “/” menu

Type “/” to insert tables, callouts, toggle sections or a table of contents. Tables calculate (=SUM, =AVERAGE…), full formatting, PDF, Word or Markdown export and 14 new templates.

  7. Gantt: planned, actual and baseline

Planned, Actual and projected Variance columns, a bar of time actually spent under each task, and a baseline to see schedule slippage.

  8. Time: richer timesheet and profitability

Weekly goal, grid by project, billable time, editing and resuming an entry; budget burn chart with forecast.

  9. DB Modeling: selection fixed

Rectangle selection and selection outlines display correctly again.

  10. Design: variables

Reusable colors, numbers, texts and typography, with modes (light / dark, languages), aliases and formulas. Link them from the inspector and every color popover, copy and paste them between files, import and export them as JSON or CSS.

  11. Design: smooth large files

Thousands of layers without slowing down: the whole canvas, interface included, is drawn on canvas and the layer list only renders what is visible. Zoom out down to 2%, and large pastes are now reliably saved.

  12. Design: pixel-perfect text

Text lands exactly where it was in Figma when pasting, and context menus are more compact.

  13. Design: colors and comments

Full color picker, multiple fills and settings popovers. Threaded comments with mentions and reactions, pinned to layers.

  14. Design: action palette

⌘/ to run any action, copy and paste properties, select matching layers and tidy up.

  15. DB Modeling: clearer constraints

Redesigned constraint panel and Merise-style drawing, with always-readable cardinalities.

  16. Design: copy and paste with Figma

Design now draws on a real canvas. Copy and paste layers both ways with Figma, and import .fig files with their pages and components.

  17. Design: new tools

Polygons, stars, booleans, point editing, masks, variants, styles, prototypes and presenting, layout grids, rulers, effects, Alt measurements and CSS code.

  18. Your space from sign-up

No organization to create: your space is ready, with the Pro trial, and you join a team in one click.

  19. Constraints, actual time and shared docs

Constraints on entities and relationships, manual actual time on tasks, and “Remove” to leave a doc shared with you.

  20. DB Modeling

Merise becomes DB Modeling: draw your schema in Merise, entity-relationship (Chen), crow’s foot or UML notation, with syntax-highlighted SQL.

  21. A more flexible Drive

Create files with any extension, and docs in folders shared with you.

  22. Mentions and link previews

Type @ to notify someone in a conversation. Links show a preview, encrypted with the message.

  23. Word and images in Docs

Import a Word document with its images, and add, paste or drop images into your pages.

  24. Gantt: export and planned time

Export the Gantt as an image or PDF, and compare planned and actual time on each task.

  25. Calls, Merise and tasks

Invitation link during a call, automatic dates in Merise, editable checklists and same-height cards.

  26. Socle is now Apsida
